Morning Prayer Service II Palm Sunday 2020

I pray this Holy Week will be truly meaningful for you as we remain apart as a body but together in the Spirit.   As my friend and past Parratt lecturer at Ascension, Dr. Peter Walker, reminded me, Christians in the West will celebrate Easter as an underground Church for the first time in 1650 years.  Your parish clergy and staff continue to fulfill our call to serve Christ and his people and we pray for your continued prayers and support.

This Holy Week begins with three offerings:

First, a Palm Sunday service of Morning Prayer with a brief meditation on the importance of this week for our present moment in history.  Please watch for offerings for Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter.

Second, we celebrate with song offered by our music ministry.  There will be more to follow this week.

Third, for those practicing social distancing and searching for something beyond the daily news cycle, please consider The Rev’d Dr. Peter Walker’s audio series on Holy Week, The Week that Changed the World.  Dr. Walker has taught in the UK, USA and the Middle East and his series allows you to follow the last footsteps of Jesus.  I am certain you will discover something new.
